CAS Thanks

I truly love clean and simple cards and even though I don’t tend to make them a lot, I do try to broaden my horizons by entering CAS challenges now and then.

My card was inspired by challenge #496 at the Paper Players, as well as challenge #187 at Addicted to CAS.

I used a stencil to add a light green background, then stamped a large “Thanks” sentiment on top of it. (Thanks to my Misti I was able to get a nice dark image!) I added a few leaves and flowers to frame the word. It was hard, but to keep it one layer and CAS I had to resist the temptation to mount it on another color or add any embellishments!

  1. Gorgeous one layer card, Melanie! I love your soft stenciling with the bold alphas and beautiful blooms! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Addicted to CAS!

  2. Love the colors and that wonderful bold sentiment. Such a fabulous CAS card. So glad you joined us at both ATCAS and the Paper Players this week

  3. This is a wonderful CAS one layer card Melanie. Your stencilled area and stamped flowers and sentiment really add depth and the illusion of layers – I genuinely thought the sentiment was a diecut! Thanks for playing along with my CAS Thanks challenge over at The Paper Players this week!

  4. Hi Melanie! This is the perfect one-layer card! That sentiment is so black that at first I thought it was die cut but then I saw that you multi-stamped it with the MISTI and it really does make all the difference, doesn’t it? You cased the challenges perfectly with this card!
