Thanks a Bunch

Hello! Today I was inspired by several different challenges to put some ink to this new floral stamp made by Hero Arts. I love coloring flowers, and even though I have colored pencils, Zig water color markers, other markers, paints, sprays, etc. I usually end up going back to my Copic markers.

I started with the challenge at Less Is More (#437) which has a theme of flowers on a one layer card. I chose my colors from the challenge at CAS on Friday (#199) – as shown on the board below (turquoise/teal, orange, white).

Finally I used the sketch from AAA Cards (#184):

I first stamped the image on some Xpress It blending card (my favorite paper for Copic markers). Next I stamped the image on some typing paper, and then carefully cut it out to make a mask. Using some removable adhesive I adhered the mask over the image I stamped on the Xpress It. This protected the image so I could use a square stencil and blend some turquoise ink around the floral image, making sure to get all the spots that wouldn’t be colored. I took off the mask and colored the image. To keep it one layer I used my Misti and stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink and heat embossed it with clear powder. The finishing touch was a little glitter glue over the center of the flowers.

I would also like to join the challenges at Dream Valley Challenges (#242) which is asking for a hand colored image and the challenge at Sweet Stampers (#53) which is looking for a CAS design.
