Springtime Wreath

Yellow seems to be a popular color right now, I suppose that’s due to being the Pantone color for the year. I happened to get this new die cut yesterday (from Divinity Designs) and thought it would work perfectly for some yellow patterned papers to create the background for this spring time wreath (from Gina Marie Designs).

To get the end result I had to cut the die in solid yellow, then once for each of the different papers. Theoretically I could make 5 more similar cards, but my patience was tested enough with just the one!

I would like to join in these challenges:

Sisterhood of Crafters – Mellow Yellow

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #183 – Monochrome

Rainbow Card Challenge #28 – Deligtfully Daffodil

Daisy Chain Challenge #51 – Monochrome

Happy Little Stampers – anything goes with dies

  1. I can see where it would be a lot of work, but that is a gorgeous background for this pretty wreath! Thanks for joining the fun at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

  3. Love your card. It does look like a lot of work though. I can see why you wouldn’t want to make 5 more cards with all that detail. It’s a beautiful card though, great job!!! Thank you for joining us at The Rainbow Card Challenge. Please join us again for next month’s challenge.

  4. Melanie, I just love this beautiful card! Your patience may have been tested in the paper piecing but, believe me, it was well worth it! I need to check out that die you used. I am always looking for ways to use paper scraps. Thank you for playing with us at Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge and the Sisterhood of Crafters and hope you come back again soon.

  5. This is GORGEOUS!!!! I can see how this was a lot of work but do hope you set the other pieces aside for later. I have a similar die and may have to try this. (Smacking my head for not thinking past cardstock to use patterned papers.) Thanks so much for playing along with us at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge blog!
