Mother’s Day Flowers

I tried something new on this card – Distress embossing glaze. It is similar to other embossing powders, however it is transparent where as most embossing powder is opaque. On this card I first used some texture paste through a stencil, then used the embossing glaze on top of it. After heating I ended up with a shiny and softly colored background. I think the overall look is a bit “worn,” and not meant to be too perfect! You can see a close up below:

I used a flower image I colored with Copic markers that was made by Technique Tuesday, dry embossed the front of my card base, layered my pieces, and added some twine and sparkle to my flowers. I completed my card with a Mother’s Day sentiment.
