Slimline Thank You

I needed to make a card for the boy who lives next door, he took in our mail while we were on vacation last week. I thought the colors from Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #400 would be a great choice. Since this is their 400th challenge, a prize is being given for the person who enters with the earliest past challenge entry date. I know that wouldn’t be me, as I just discovered this challenge a few months ago, but there are also some other prizes as well, so maybe I will get lucky!

I used stitched die cuts from My Favorite Things for the colored stripes, and glued them to a rectangular base. I then cut them out with a large stitched rectangle for a slimline card from Pink Fresh Studio. The letters are from Kat Scrappiness, and luckily they fit perfectly on the slimline sized card. If not I guess I would have had to change the “YOU” to just a “U!”

I would like to enter these additional challenges:

Double D Challenges – Stitches

Make My Monday Challenge #126 – Stripes and/or Stars

Crafting Happiness #56 – Anything Goes

  1. I am such a fan of slimline cards. Everyone thinks they are new, but back in the 60’s they were all the rage. Your design is wonderful, I love the background. Great take on the Mood Board, thanks so much for playing along with us over at the Double D Challenge. Hope we see you back again soon!!
