Beach Please

I live no where near the beach but I love the water and beach theme for making cards. I only used two stamps on this card, the beach ball is from a Pure Innocence set I got from My Favorite Things a few years ago, and the sentiment is from a new set from Honey Bee Stamps. I love it when you can use all different brands and sets together!

This card was inspired by several challenges, several which feature CAS designs – lots of of white space, minimal layers and embellishments, and an over all clean and simple look. I have found lately that these kind of cards are really fun to make.

Below are the challenges I would like to join:

CAS Colours & Sketches #383 – sketch

CASology #372 – cue is “Ball”

AAA Cards #171 – along the edge + optional theme “beach”

Color My Heart Color Dare #406 – color palette – (I used smoothie, peach, glacier)

Retro Rubber Challenge #141 – Anything Goes

  2. I love the simplicity of this, great sentiment too. I think the simpler the card the harder it is to do, great job xx

  3. Melanie, love it… clean and simple and combining so many challenges together. The colors are perfect, nice interpretation of the sketch and like the two different fonts in the sentiment. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Dare.

  4. This is my idea of a fantastic card: clean design, lot of white space, a strong focal point and great detailing. Love that edging around the white card front – it adds to the luxury of the card without competing with the imagery. Great colouring and the movement lines are super. Thanks so much for joining in with us at Retro Rubber Challenge.
