“Pokey”

The challenge at the Paper Players (#509) this week is a clean and simple card with the theme of “pets.”

Although I do not have a hedgehog of my own, I made this card for my daughter who once did have a hedgehog as a pet. His name was Pokey, and he was quite unique because he was albino. I decided to color the hedgehog on my card though, it just didn’t look good leaving it white!

I chose the colors for my letters and the balloon from the challenge at Color Hues (#2), which were turquoise and navy blue. This is a new challenge that has really taken off with a lot of great entries.

I would also like to enter the challenge at AAA Cards (#174) This is a clean and simple challenge with the optional twist of woodland animal, so I think a hedgehog would qualify!

Finally I would like to enter the challenge at Retro Rubber (#144) which has a theme of anything goes, but also asks that you use a stamp that is at least a year old. Well I see the date on the hedgehog stamp says “Stampin’ Up! 2000” so no problem with that!
