Layered Diecuts

This week the challenge at Always Fun (#182) has a theme of “Diecutting.” Even though it wasn’t required, I decided to use only die cuts so my card doesn’t have any stamping at all. I used a set by Birch Press Designs that has three layers, and I chose my colors based on the challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare (#412). You can see the palette below, the three colors I chose were nectarine, sundance, and canary (really the closest shades I had to those!)

I used the sketch at My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge (#508) for the basic layout, really quite simple, but I thought the strips through the middle were a good way to tie all three colors together.

Finally I am entering this card at Shopping Our Stash (#429) The challenge is “Make a Mess.” My card looks pretty “neat and clean” but I can tell you that those die cuts really made a mess. There were all kinds of little pieces from them on my desk and the floor, I don’t know how I managed to get them all over like I did!
