How to Stay Young

This is my inspiration card for the new challenge starting at the Alphabet Challenge. This time we are featuring a theme of “Old Folk” for the letter O. I really don’t have any images or stamps that go too well with that theme, but I do have a set of sentiments that are made for birthday cards for seniors. I used one I thought could apply to anyone who is starting to feel old!

I am also joining in the challenge at the Paper Players, which is a clean and simple challenge, with an inspirational photo with cupcakes, cake, and cookies. I chose my images from a set by My Favorite Things called “All the Cupcakes” to go around the sentiment.

I looked at the challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare (#416) for my color scheme. This challenge requires choosing any row or column and including those 3 colors, and that any additional colors you choose must also be on the board. I chose the first column – glacier, silver, and avocado. I also used a little candy apple, as well as some neutrals.

Finally I would like to join the challenge at Allsorts #594 with a theme of Birthday Cake or Cupcakes.

  2. Hi Melanie! Yes – we were on the same wavelength! ; ) This is such a great card! I love all of the birthday treats and I your arrangement of the design elements around that stitched die embossing! I’ve got that same sentiment set and use it frequently! Nice one! Take care!
