Feels Like Fall

Making backgrounds with alcohol ink is messy, but is one of my favorite cardmaking techniques to do. I made this one a while ago and finally decided to use it for a card. To add some texture I embossed it and then sanded it a little to give some more shading. I love how it turned out, unfortunately these types of backgrounds are one of a kind, you can never get the same exact look twice!

There are several challenges featuring autumn and fall so I wanted to create something with fall colors. I added some browns and gold foilage to the shades of orange and red.

I used one of the sketches at Cut It Up! #211 – there were 2 but this is the one I used:

I stamped and colored a few fall images, added a linen thread bow, and finished it off with a sentiment.

I would like to join in these additional challenges:

Cardz 4 Galz #133 – Autumn/Fall

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Layer it up!

Aud Sentiments #262 – Halloween/Fall Sentiment

Dream Valley Challenges #235 – Autumn Colors
