Best Witches

Here is this weeks sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#392). Since a sketch is meant to help inspire you and give you ideas, I looked at this (and since I am still in a Halloween mood), I decided to adapt it to a moon with a witch silhouette. You never know where a sketch may lead you!

I looked around at some other challenges for more ideas, in which I saw the colors of black and purple several times. I thought I would make my own purple background with some Colorburst pigment powders. Now these make for a great background, but note to self: put on gloves next time!

I let the background dry, sprayed it with a little glitter mist, mounted it on silver and then black. I die cut a moon, some clouds, and a few little bats. The witch image was stamped with black then heat embossed with clear powder. I arranged all the pieces and finished it off with some glitter pen over the bats.

I would like to enter the following challenges that inspired my card:

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge – ATG Halloween

Joy of Sets #22 – tic tac toe

I used the diagonal of black, silhouette, and glitter.

Inkspirational #224 – inspiration photo

Artsystamper #26 – Halloween Colors

Your Next Stamp #150 – theme of “midnight”

Modsquad – “Spooky Mansion”

Country View Challenge – Make a Halloween Scene

Simply Create Too #165 – Black and Purple

Sweet Stampin’ – Halloween

Crafty Card Makers #267 – Things that go bump in the night
