Just Us Girls – Use a Stencil

Welcome and thanks for checking out my second card as a guest designer at Just Us Girls Challenge for the month of January! This week is “Trend Week,” and the challenge is to use a stencil.

I started out by blending some distress oxide inks on white card stock, and then used a stencil with some glittery embossing paste over it. I was surprised with what an iridescent look it had when it dried because it didn’t look like that when it was wet! I then cut three of the white framed flowers and stacked them to get a little more dimension. I left the middle pieces in so the flower would show up, but wanted the rest to be open so the background would show through.

If you would like to join in the challenge at Just Us Girls you have until Thursday evening (1/14) to link up your card!

  2. Such a pretty card, Melanie! I love the gorgeous background for your white flower! Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week! Take care and I hope 2021 is a good one for you you and your family! 🙂

  3. Love that background! Great choice of glittery paste. I also liked how you left the pieces of the flower in the die. Really shows up nicely.
