Butterflies for Make the Cards Challenge

Today a new theme challenge starts at Make the Cards Challenge (#12) and we are looking for cards featuring butterflies. You can use any style, products, or techniques you want, just be sure to follow the butterfly theme!

My card used a piece that was leftover from a background I made with an alcohol lifting technique. I made it quite a while ago, unfortunately I have no recollection of how I did it, but it was my attempt at trying to follow the video by Jennifer McGuire (which you can find HERE). I made a whole bunch of different ones at the time, and love having them ready to go when the right use comes along. The butterflies were heat embossed with white on vellum and then fussy cut. I dry embossed the white background before adding it to the base.

I would like to play along in these additional challenges:

Allsorts Challenge #619 – Butterflies, Birds, and Bees

Cute Card Thursday #681 – Wings

Aud Sentiments #272 – anything goes + sentiment

A Place to Start #4 – anything goes + optional “make it elegant”

Ellibelle’s Corner Crafty Wednesday Challenge – something starting with B

  2. How pretty is this, the design is very pleasing on the eye and Butterflies always look so delicate on vellum, thanks so much for joining in with our ‘Butterflied, Birds and Bees’ theme at Allsorts challenge this week.
