CAS for Krafty Chicks

Welcome! I am still playing in the hen house over at the Krafty Chicks Challenge as their guest designer for the month of April, so that is what inspired today’s card. The challenge (#555) is to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) card. This is one of my favorite styles – minimal layers and embellishment, plenty of white space, and one main focal point.

I used a flower that is from the monthly stamp club at Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society. I have been a member for over 4 years so I have a very nice selection of flower stamps! I colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut (although they do have dies available for the monthly sets). I needed some contrast so I mounted the flowers on some kraft card stock and added a few pearls to finish it off.

Check out the Krafty Chicks Challenge blog if you’d like to play along and to see the inspiration from the design team. The challenge runs for one week, so plenty of time to join in!
