Sympathy Card

The new challenge for this week at Always Fun Challenges (#210) is an “Anything Goes” theme – so you may enter whatever you want!

I had out a set from a Simon Says Stamp Card Kit (called “Look for the Rainbows”) so I made several cards with it. (see my other post from today here for a sample using very different colors) The flowers were stamped with water proof ink onto mixed media paper, then painted with water and dye ink. I cut them out and arranged them on a background that I die cut with a Tim Holtz die. I added some splatters and a few pearls, and since I felt the colors weren’t really springy or bright I went with a sympathy sentiment.

I would like to join in these additional challenges:

World Wide Open Design Team Challenge – anything goes

Color My Heart Color Dare #439 – black and white + one color

Dies R Us #167 – anything goes with dies (Tim Holtz)

Let’s Craft and Create #170 – anything goes w/opt. flowers

Creative Knockouts #397 – add a sentiment
