Seize the Birthday Nautical Card

Greetings, and thank you for stopping by! I am joining the team at Seize the Birthday for the next few challenges as a guest designer, so I am very excited to share my first card with you today!

Of course the name of the challenge tells what it’s all about, but in addition to requiring a birthday theme, there is also an optional twist you can play along with for each challenge. This time, for challenge #216, the optional twist is “Nautical.”

The QUICK and SIMPLE details: I used a different fold, I have no idea what it’s called, but I put the dimensions below in case you are interested. I cut some patterned paper for the sides and bottom. The images are from a Stampin’ Up set called “Sailing Home.” I added a little twine, and a die cut wheel for the finishing details.

Additional Challenges:

Cut it Up! #227 – shaped or fun fold card

House That Stamps Built #J921– fun fold card

Creative Creases #8 – fun fold card
