Seize the Birthday #217

Greetings! I’m back again today with my second card as the surprise party guest at Seize the Birthday Challenge! This time the challenge is to use an embossing folder on your card or project, and of course, make sure it has a birthday theme. The challenge will be open until July 6 if you would like to join in!

The QUICK and SIMPLE details: The flower image is from Rubberneckers Stamps called “Roses.” It is two stamps, one that makes the black lines, and another solid stamp that fills in the lines. I used Zig markers to color directly on the stamp and blended them together by spritzing lightly with a little water. The background was a from a small strip embossed in a folder from Taylored Expressions called “Leafy Vine.” I added some die cut borders to it and finished it off with a few iridescent pearls.

Additional Challenges:

Cardz TV #143 – anything goes

Watercooler Wednesday #318 – all about occasions

Createful Heart Design Challenge #33 – anything goes

Let’s Squash It! #9 – nature and watercolor
