Alphabet Challenge – N for No Layers

It’s the start of a new challenge at the Alphabet Challenge today. This time we are on the letter “N” and the theme is “No Layers.” Please visit the challenge blog for more details and to see the great cards made by the rest of the design team.

The QUICK and SIMPLE details: The outline stamp and the candy corn are both made by Rubbernecker Stamps. I had to mask off one of the candy corn to get the appearance that one was in front of the other (and to keep it one layer). I colored them with Copic markers, and that is all there was to it!

  1. Melanie, this Halloween card is adorable! Your frame is great and love the “sweet” candy corn images. I can’t get masking done well enough but yours looks like it was stamped that way! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. What a fun Halloween card, so different from all the ghosts and witches that usually emerge this time of year. I like your CAS version of the no-layers theme, and the border is such an eye-catcher. The candy corn motif is so cute – almost like two tiny orange ghosts. I dont think I’ve ever seen it in the stores here, but your image alone would be a reason to try it someday.

    Hugs, Veronika

  3. A one layer card that was easy to make? And looks this awesome? WOW! Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers for the CAS challenge!

  4. I love CAS and how you worked your sentiment into that cool border to carry your design and let those candy corn, though small, shine. So happy you joined us at STAMPlorations CAS Cards this month.
