Krafty Chicks Challenge #581 – Christmas

Hello! It’s Thursday and that means a new challenge is starting at Krafty Chicks Challenge. This week we are looking for any cards or projects with a theme of “Christmas.”

My card was made with a cut down piece of a background I made using gilding flakes and a die cut. (Check out this post for a brief tutorial of that technique.) I framed it, then colored and die cut the foilage, which is from a Taylored Expressions set called “Seasonal Sprig.” I finished it off with a heat embossed sentiment strip.

This month we are honored to have Laurel join us from Laurel Seabrook Designs as our guest designer. I invite you to visit her blog as well as the other chicks blogs for more ideas and inspiration!

  1. Awesome card! The berry sprig pops out but that gold in the background is stunning! I checked out your tutorial, you made it look so simple that I’m going to try it.

  2. Such a lovely Christmas card and so different. Thos berries are just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing at The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge Melanie.

  3. Beautiful card, great use of the gilding flakes and it’s a perfect backdrop for the holly. Thanks for playing along with us at Happy Little Stampers for the Christmas challenge.
