CAS Colours & Sketches #442

Welcome! Today I am sharing a card I made for the current challenge and first part of the design team call at CAS Colours & Sketches (#442). This week is a color challenge which is shown below:

The QUICK and SIMPLE details for my card: I masked off a stencil to make the blue portion on the square. The rose is from a new monthly kit from Altenew, first time I have used it! I colored it with Copic markers and cut it out. I did a little playing around with where to put it on the square, finally was happy after deciding to add the sentiment vertically. Since the white edge kind of got lost on the white background I added a tiny strip of green to help make it show up better.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. My goodness Melanie, what a fantastic job you did of colouring that rose! I can almost smell it’s perfume! Love the floral half-background, the border and your stitched details. Thank you for coming to play at CAS Colours and Sketches and it’s lovely to see you’ve entered the DT call too! Vicky x

  2. I never would have thought to pair the flower with that background stencil. It’s stunning!!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at the CC&S challenge blog!
