World Kindness Day for Festive Friday

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! I have a card to share that I made for our new challenge starting at Festive Friday (#FF0096). This time the festivity is World Kindness Day, and that is what we used to create the 10 items on the Inspo List. To join in the challenge just choose any 3 (or more) items from the list to use on your card or project. Whether that reflects the festivity or not is totally up to you!

The items I chose from the list were pearls, embossing, heart, and thank you sentiment. The heart is made from a three piece set from Birch Press Designs, cut in three shades of yellow. I combined it with kraft for my card base and the sentiment. After embossing the background I added a little ink blended with some shimmer powder, but it wasn’t very dark so I used a blending brush to add just a little color around the edges, as well as to the edges of the heart. The pearls were added to finish it off.

  1. That layered heart is gorgeous, Melanie. I love the shades of yellow with the kraft. So much wonderful detail and texture in your card.
