Four Seasons – December

Our first three challenges at Four Seasons are complete what a great turnout we had! Now we are on to our next challenge for winter. Please check out the blog for more inspiration from the design team and to link up you project or card. The board below is just to give you ideas, but you can create anything you want that is suitable for the winter season.

The QUICK and SIMPLE details for my card: The image is one of the Big & Bold images called “Pine Branch and Pinecone” from Colorado Craft Company. Sometimes it is a nice change of pace to use a big stamp since it seems so many are just so small. I stamped it once on the kraft paper with green ink, then used a wet paintbrush to spread the color a bit. Next I stamped the image on a piece of mixed media paper with the brown ink. I used some water and more ink to spread the color. When that was dry I cut it out and put it over the image on the kraft paper. I finished it with a sentiment and then did some ink splattering for the final touch.

  1. Oh Mel this is just BEAUTIFUL! I never think to use a simple image such as this pine cone branch but it is SO IMPRESSIVE! Thanks for beautiful inspiration my friend! Happy Holidays to you!

  2. What a lovely card you have created! I love the pine cones and that sweet little bow. I have really been trying to make my cards mailable with just a first class stamp.
