A new sketch challenge has started at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#452). You can see it below, and I have to say I had a tough time with this one! If you want to give it a try the gallery will be open until Sunday, 12/26.
I wanted to go with a different shape other than the diamonds as shown, so I tried hearts, music notes, circles, an finally decided on the X’s and O’s to go with the Hugs and Kisses sentiment.
My background was inspired by the color challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare #476 – soft and pastel colors. I made it by smooshing in some distress oxide inks, then lightly spritzed it with some clear shimmer spray.
I made this with Valentine’s Day in mind, as I have been making way too many Christmas cards and needed a change of pace!
