Birthday Flowers

Joining in some challenges today, I had a few things that I saved which I had made but didn’t use, which I thought would work with the inspiration photo at Just Add Ink #595 and the color challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare #487 – shades of green plus one metallic.

The background was made with alcohol ink, and the die cut overlay is from Altenew. I cut it again in silver, trimmed off the pieces I wanted to use over the white, and added a few pearls. I went with a birthday sentiment so I could play along at Seize the Birthday #234 – anything goes or optional “green and white” and the Divas That Cut Paper – Birthday.

I always have a hard time taking decent photos when there’s something shiny on my card. After about 4 different places I finally ended up under the card table so there was no bright light shining directly on my card or to make a phone shadow. My husband just shook his head but didn’t ask why I was on the floor taking pictures!
