Can You Handle the Pressure? – Butterflies

Hope your weekend is off to a good start! I’m happy to be sharing my card with you for the new challenge starting today over at Can You Handle the Pressure. This is always an “anything goes” challenge, but we also have an optional twist each time, for this challenge the optional twist is “butterflies.” However, the catch is you must also use an embossing folder on your card to enter!

The butterfly image on my card is from Unity Stamp Company and colored it with Copic Markers. I used a frame die cut to cut the image out of the base, cut the base with a larger square/scalloped die cut, and then embossed it. I mounted it on a black base, but did not use the frame piece, only the center with the butterfly on it, in order to leave the black border around the image.

Additional challenges:

Try It On Tuesday – butterflies

Dragonfly Dreams – butterflies and/or flowers

Through the Purple Haze #192 – CAS

  3. This is so beautiful, Mel. I love all that white, and the contrast of the black and splash of orange. I also love the way you placed the butterfly panel off center.

  4. I love this design. All the white just makes those butterflies pop, and they are beautifully colored. And I would have used black where you used gray…..that is GENIUS!!!
