Alphabet Challenge – R for Reduce (CAS)

The new challenge starting at the Alphabet Challenge features the letter “R” this time, and the theme to go with that is “reduce.” By reduce we mean to make your design to be clean and simple, reduce the layers, bling, patterns, etc.

I used a set from Newton’s Nook that is new to me, but was actually made in 2017. I colored with Copic markers and did some fussy cutting. I followed the sketch and colors from the new challenge that started at CAS Colours & Sketches this week (see below).

  1. Great CAS card, Melanie! Your card shows how to use those smaller images (I struggle with those) and they’re perfect for that sketch. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Melanie your collection of festive hot drinks is a genius take on our sketch and colour palette – and so beautifully CAS too. Thanks for playing with us over at CAS Colours and Sketches this week!

  3. Such a beautiful CAS card, perfect for the upcoming winter season. I like the how you managed to create a cozy atmosphere by arranging those small cut-outs together. The pastel shades are a lovely touch of colour on the white card base, and the 3D images make it even more interesting. I like how the card can be used for many different occasions during this time of the year, and I could definitely go with a hot cocoa right now.

    Hugs, Veronika
