Festive Friday #FF0134 – National Smile Day

It’s Festive Friday! We have a new challenge starting today, and this time our festivity is “National Smile Day.” We used that to come up with ten items for our Inspo List, and if you would like to join the challenge just choose any 3 (or more) of those items to use on your card or project. Whether or not you follow the theme of the festivity is totally up to you!

I chose yellow, smile sentiment, clown, and circle as my items from the Inspo List. I found the clown image from etsy.com (sweetmissdaisy Whimsical Art by Anna Wight – “Gladly the Clown.”) I colored it with Copic markers, and after trying several different backgrounds I found the bright colors looked best on plain white. I went with a mini-slimline size so I could fit the yellow ball for him to stand on, which also worked perfectly to fit the sentiment.

Some of the inspiration behind my card was from my Uncle Bill, who had a huge collection of clowns. When he passed everyone was given one of the clowns from his collection as a way to remember him in a happy way. These are the clowns given to myself and my husband from our Uncle Bill:

Joining in these additional challenges:

Send A Smile 4 Kids – anything goes that is appropriate for a kid

Park Hopping Challenge – anything related to a theme park
