Double Trouble #137

We’re off with challenge #137 today at Double Trouble. The only requirement to enter is what Thing 1 is asking for, this time it is to incorporate something from a childhood nursery rhyme into your card. Be sure to let us know what nursery rhyme you chose!

Thing 3 is giving you the optional twist to include a heart, the word heart, or the word love on your card or project. Doing that will earn you another entry in the random drawing.

If you meet both of those challenges you can also link up your card at Heart’s Quest Challenge, our partner this time, and you will get another extra chance in the random drawing.

I did a search on the internet to find some ideas for what nursery rhyme would inspire me. I ended up with “BINGO,” also known as “Once a Farmer Had a Dog.” I have only used the barn die cut from Honey Bee Stamps once before so I thought that would work well with this nursery rhyme. I also knew I had those cute little dogs with the hearts from Sunny Studio to go with it and for the optional challenge.

I included a video below if you want a refresher of the song, but just as a warning, it will be playing in your head over and over again if you listen to it!!!

Also joining in a related challenge of Heart Quest, called Farm Quest General Store, looking for anything that relates to a farm or country theme.

  1. Love Bingo and the barn scene you created. I was surprised that you didn’t use the link to nursery rhymes in our post. It was amazing to see so many one would be surprised how many there were. Adorable card.

  2. Farm-tastic, Melanie!!! Thanks for doing the collaboration! I love the little hearts used as spacers for “Bingo” and how the pups are holding hearts in their paws!! Great ways to be creative in the placement and usage of heart shapes! In fact you could share this at FarmQuest General Store challenge blog before it ends on May 5th. It will reopen on May 7th. It’s always farm/country goes theme and is a spin-off from FarmQuest challenge blog that does farm/country topics on the 14th and 28th of each month. On behalf of HQCB, FQCB, and FQGS, thank you so much!, Becca
