Send a Smile 4 Kids – Cards 4 Boys

Hello! I have a card to share today that is for the new challenge starting at the Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge. This is a wonderful monthly challenge that encourages participants to donate hand made cards that are distributed for children who are spending time in the hospital. If you would like to read more about what they do check out the details here.

This month the challenge is to create a card for a boy, but you are also free to link up any kid-appropriate card. Be sure to check out the challenge blog for some great ideas and inspiration from the rest of the design team!

The Quick and Simple Details:

  • stamped images with distress oxide inks then heat embossed with clear powder
  • background stenciled with glitter paste colored with blue ink
  • die cut seaweed
  • cut sand for bottom and dotted with a marker to create sand
  • mounted on later of silver glitter paper

  1. Hi Melanie! There are so many things that I love about your card. Where do I begin? The Distress Ink eat embossed sea critters? That glittery inked stenciled background? That dotted sand? What an adorable boy (or girl) card! So darn cute!
