I started my OCAD challenge 1/30/24, and decided to start posting them to my blog. I don’t want to write a post every day so decided to do a monthly recap of all the cards I’ve completed. (Click HERE or the OCAD page on the menu bar for more details.)
4/2/24
Pulled out an old stamp that I really like but haven’t used in a long time. I created a pastel background with ink blending and used similar colored flowers that were die cut. This was for my cousin’s birthday.
4/3/24
Worked on another birthday card today, entered this one at several challenges.
4/4/24
I was invited to be a guest designer for Seize the Birthday Challenge where the “topping” was green + one color. Without using flowers I decided to go with brown (only because I wanted to make chocolate cupcakes!) Here are the two cards I made, the first is what the one that I submitted for the challenge.
4/6/24
Made this cute dog card for my husband’s sister and her husband who just got a new dog. Love Newton’s Nook images!
This was made with a free set sent to me by Altenew, which even had a personalized stamp with my full name! Jeff (my husband) asked how much I really paid for it, and I told him he doesn’t want to know!!!
4/7/24
Today I worked on a card using some older products, this is for a challenge at Cardz 4 Guys with a theme of “jungle.”
4/9/24
Working on some future challenge cards, this will be for the Paper Funday Challenge for May.
4/11/24
This card uses a set that I bought last fall and finally am putting to use. This card is for the Send a Smile 4 Kids May challenge.
4/12/24
Today I didn’t make a card, instead I worked on these inserts for a shadowbox frame for my daughter’s wedding pictures.
4/14/24
Today’s cards are made with a new set from Lawn Fawn. I had to make a challenge card for Cinco de Mayo and ended up with these two:
4/15/24
Worked on a card for another challenge today – C is for Car. Used a cute little die cut from the Spellbinders Advent calendar. The post for this will be on 5/3/24.
2/16/24
The three cards I made today were all from things I had in my “bits and pieces” drawer.
4/18/24
Made four cards today from one of the sets included in the Pinkfresh Studio classes.
4/21/24
New product used: Spellbinders Santa die. I thought it was so cute and not too many pieces to glue together. I made 9 cards total, but a few were doubles.
4/23/24
Wanted to try some of the embossing paste for the backgrounds, and also used a new set I just got from Altenew.
3/24/24
Finished the online class from Altenew that I bought several months ago. This first one uses distress oxide inks that were heat embossed with clear sparkly powder.
This second card was made by creating a sparkly background under the cut out by heat embossing with clear sparkly powder.
The third card is a simple design – Altenew die cut from the kit with pre-printed “alcohol ink” background underneath it.
4/26/24
Played with a kit that I got from The Stamp Market. The cards are cased from the samples/classes, however I did change them up a little.
4/29/24
More cards made with the Stamp Market kit.
4/30/24
The last cards I made to day using the Stamp Market kit.
Fantastic collection of cards!
They are all stunning. You are really stepping up your game! 🙂 I loved my birthday card, and with some of my birthday gift money, I ordered a couple of the Lawn Fawn
“Hay” sets with die cuts, that you used in one of these cards. i’m excited to get them!
