Double Trouble #57

The second week of Double Trouble’s Challenge continues the same challenge by Thing 1, which is to use some sort of kraft paper, a paper bag, tag, etc. You can still join in at the challenge at Crafting Happiness, where the theme is always “anything goes,’ but you may also join with their optional twist, which is to include something red. Below you can see all the details, or head over to Double Trouble Challenges to find out more.

The card I made with included a kraft base, but also some kraft and gold striped paper. It was a little to bright so I added some burlap to mount the flowers on (from Technique Tuesday), added a gold embossed sentiment, and a few pearls to finish it off!

  1. Love that burlap behind the gorgeous colored rose and that striped gold and kraft background is a beautiful combination and makes the rose pop…stunning card.

  2. So pretty, Melanie! I especially like the elegance of the card and your coloring. How creative to add casual burlap behind the rose.

  3. The burlap behind the flower adds so much texture and interest to your card. The neutral background allows that flower to POP!
