Hello Hello Hello

Two new challenges are starting today, the Alphabet Challenge and Double Trouble, so I created a card that would work with both. Combining challenges can really stretch your creativity, and is a great way to share your work with even more people!

First is for the Alphabet Challenge, which is featuring the letter “K” – use kraft cardstock/paper on your card. This challenge runs for two weeks, so if you want to join in you have until September 10th to link up your creation.

The other challenge this card is for is the challenge over at Double Trouble. This challenge runs for just over a week, so if you would like to join you have until September 6th to link up your creation.

Below is a picture with the details of the Double Trouble challenge. Thing 1 says this is a “Something – Anything – Everything” challenge, or in other words, anything goes! That’s all that’s required to enter, but if you want to play along with Thing 3’s challenge, then you should add a phone to your card. Finally, the double dare from Thing 2 is to pair up your card with one of the previous partners. You can see a list of those at the Double Trouble site.

I only had one stamp of a telephone (at least that I could find), and after a few failed attempts I decided to look for another option. The telephone I ended up using was a free line art file I found online. I colored it with Copic markers and cut it out, purposely cutting off the cord. I then cut a very thin strip of black card stock and wound it around a small dowel rod to make my own cord. I made the background by stamping the Hellos with Versamark clear ink directly on the kraft card stock. I love that technique for creating a tone on tone background.

I will be doing the Double Dare for Thing 2 by joining in with the challenge at Crafting Happiness, which always has an “anything goes” theme.

I would also like to join in the “Anything Goes” challenge at The House That Stamps Built (#A2620).

Since I used a digital image I would like to join in the challenge at Little Red Wagon (#564).

Finally, the current challenge at Cardz 4 Galz (#129) is “Just Say Hello,” so I would like to join in there too!
