Alphabet Challenge – “B” for a boy’s card

This is the 10th year of the Alphabet Challenge, and we are on to the letter “B” – create a card for a boy. This challenge runs for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to play along!

My card was made with train pieces cut out on a Silhouette electronic cutter, and the stamps are from Mama Elephant. I did a lot of stamping and coloring before cutting out all those little images. The front flap of the card has three rectangles cut out, and the double sided paper was adhered behind them. You can see the inside (and the reverse side of the paper) in the photo below. Sometimes I forget about the inside of my cards, but when you can find an easy way to carry the design from the front to the inside, it makes for a nice overall look!

  1. Oh, this train is adorable, Melanie! I just love every single detail! Fussy cutting those sweet little images was well worth the effort. Have a great weekend and stay safe!

  2. What a great inside-out feature on the inside! I had never thought of that so thanks for a great idea!!! You did such a nice job with the die cuts and stamping combination as well! : )
