Shades of Green

Whenever I see a challenge that asks for several shades of one color I think of the layering dies I have from Birch Press Designs. I chose three shades of green for the challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare (#394), and also combined my card for the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown (#457), which was a tic-tac-toe board. You can see the board below, I used the row across the middle, green – a die – stencil, which is how I created the background. It seemed a little dark to me so I added a layer of white glitter paper behind the die cuts and the stenciled layer, you can never go wrong with a little extra sparkle!

  1. This die is so pretty and love the split of greens with the white glitter and embellishments added and background perfect. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Dare.

  2. Spectacular card, Melanie! I love that you used the sunburst stencil behind the focal image – unexpected in green – and the layered die-cut image is so elegant. Thank you for playing along with us at Color My Heart Color Dare #394. (I have one of those Birch Press dies and you can see it in an upcoming Color Dare Challenge.)

  3. What a stunning card with beautiful dies. Very nice way you created it. Thanks for joining us at Colour Dare Challenge. I Hope you join us again soon. Vandra Stenton, Colour Dare Challenge Design Team.
