The Alphabet Challenge – H is for “Hungry”

We are at the letter H for the new challenge at The Alphabet Challenge Blog. The word for this challenge is “Hungry” – make a card that features food! (and remember that the H doesn’t have to stand for healthy!)

I used a die cut that I got from My Favorite Things to make the watermelon. To make the background I heat embossed a large background stamp in white, then used distress oxide ink to blend over it. The sentiment I used is also from My Favorite Things.

  1. Hi Melanie! I really like this die set from MFT and it’s been on my wish list since last summer! You have done such a great job coordinating the main image and the background pattern panel! They really worked well together and I like the mid-tone color palette! Everything about this card works!

  2. Oh, I just love that watermelon! That is a food that my family stays hungry for all year round. I really thought the background was designer paper! Very pretty background stamp. Have a great weekend!
