CAS Flower Garden

The sentiment on this card comes from a set by Rubbernecker Stamps (called Freehand Phrase Set #900) and are all flower or garden related. I use them a lot since it seems my flower stamp collection seems to grow and grow and grow…….

The set comes with a square and circle outline stamp, you can see I used the square, but in order to put the flower “in front” of it I had to stamp it first an then mask it off before stamping the frame. I did the same on the smaller flower.

After I finished coloring with Copic markers I added some Nuvo drops, glitter glue, and went over the butterfly with a shimmer pen to add a little sparkle.

I was inspired to make this card by combining several challenges. First was CAS Colours & Sketches #384 which I used for my colors.

Next I played along with the challenge at AAA Cards #172, which is to make a single layer card, with the optional twist of “My Other Hobby.” Even though my card features flowers and a garden theme I can’t really say that is my other hobby (although I do appreciate admiring the gardens and flowers of everyone else!)

Next I played along with the sketch at Global Design Project #254 (I went with a vertical orientation).

Finally I would like to enter this in the challenge at Inspire.Create.Challenges #076 which has a theme of “garden.”

  1. Very pretty card. And I with you on the garedenig – has to be done, but I prefer looking at other people’s too. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Stay safe and keep crafting!

  2. One layer cards are my nemesis so I’m impressed by this card. So beautiful! Thanks so much for playing along with us at the CC&S challenge blog!
