Fall Greetings

Today’s card is for the new challenge at Cardz 4 Guys (#255) There isn’t a specific theme, just that you create a card that is “Clean and Simple,” and of course that the card would be appropriate for a male recipient.

The clean and simple style is one of my favorites. Everyone has a little different interpretation, but the key ideas are that you leave a lot of open or white space, that you do not have many layers or embellishments, that the overall look of your card is uncluttered.

I used the sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch (#392) to come up with the card design, and the theme of “Autumn” from the challenge at CAS on Friday.

I would also like to enter the challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare (#414) The challenge there is to use the photo shown below as inspiration. Not only were the colors in the photo, but the leaves and the various cloths/fibers/thread shown. That gave me the idea to use the burlap strips to border my leaves.

Additional challenges I’d like to join:

International Art & Soul (#93) – Autumn Colors

My Time to Craft (#69) – Autumn Colors

Creative Knockouts (#370) – Fall
