Navy Roses

It’s a color challenge at the Alphabet Challenge this time. We are on the letter “N” – for Navy Blue. I went with the roses from one of my favorite Stampin’ Up sets (“Healing Hugs”). I have stamped these flowers in so many colors and they all seem to turn out good, so I thought I’d give navy blue a try too!

I used a background stamp from My Favorite Things, which I stamped with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink and then heat embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder. The photo doesn’t show the sparkle very well, but in real life it really brightens up the card!

I am also joining in the following challenges:

Just Add Ink (#526) which is a photo inspiration.

Flower Challenge (#49) – The theme there (other than you must have flowers on your card of course) is to incorporate a circle or circles into your design.

Cut It Up! (#210) – they are recognizing World Card Making Day, so anything goes as long as you have used die cuts on your card.

Watercooler Wednesday (#272) – Anything goes with a feminine twist

Finally I would like to join the challenge at Craft Rocket (#75) – Add Sparkle
