Hello, glad you stopped by! I wanted to share the card I made with this cute stamp for the new challenge at Cardz 4 Guys (#260) – which has a theme of “snowmen.” You can play along with any card or project that follows the theme (as well as making sure it is appropriate for a guy!)
To make the background for this card I used some shimmery embossing paste over a snowflake shaped stencil. I let it dry before using a rectangular die cut, then mounted it on a white card base. Here’s where the problem came in – when running the embossed snowflake through the die cut the embossing paste was completely flattened! I realized I now had more of a foiled look. In the end I was happy with the result, but next time I need to plan a bit better!
I then stamped and colored the snowmen, die cut them (and trimmed a little off the side to make a straight edge) then added them to the base. This stamp was from an ancient Stampin’ Up set, but still one of my favorites, hard to get rid of those “go to” stamps, even when I have a whole box full of snowmen to pick from!
