Arizona Greeting

Hello, and thanks for checking out today’s card! There is a new challenge starting at Cardz 4 Guys (#271) today and there isn’t any specific theme, but to join the challenge you must create your own background. (And of course make sure your card is appropriate for a guy!)

I have to admit the background was one I made a while ago when playing with some alcohol inks. Since that is a kind of messy process I like to make a whole bunch and then just use them as the right time comes along. I thought this one, even though kind of bold, worked well with some desert colors and for a guy. The cactus stamp is from a Stampin’ Up set (Flowering Desert), and I don’t know where the Arizona stamp came from, but I have seen them with other states too.

Additional Challenges:

Crafting Happiness #96 – anything goes w/opt. “hello”

Crafty Calendar – make it masculine

Let’s Craft and Create #171 – anything goes w/opt. “no patterned paper”
