Thanksgiving Sketch Challenge

Welcome, time for the start of challenge #438 at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. You can see the sketch below, but feel free to rotate it, and remember that you can use any images or papers you want, as long the sketch is represented in your end result.

For as easy as this card was to make, I think I spent a lot more time on it that you could ever tell by looking at it! It was actually all of the discarded attempts that took a lot of time, and even though this is what I ended up with, I can’t say it’s what I had in mind. Sometimes a sketch just doesn’t work for you, or the idea you have doesn’t end up working out, but I guess that’s part of why a sketch challenge is a good thing to try, it stretches your creativity and gets you to look at something in a new way.

I used an old wood stamp and colored it with Copic markers and then die cut a tag shape. I decided to make my card with a horizontal orientation, adding some sparkly washi tape and liquid pearl drops.

Additional Challenges:

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps #598 – autumn colors

Di’s Digi Challenge – use 2 or more patterned papers

Sweet Stampin’ – colors of autumn

Scrapping4funChallenges #200 – use some washi tape
