Peace – Love – Coffee

Today is the start of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and at Double Trouble Challenge we are joining in their blog hop. As you go through the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop be sure to stop by the Double Trouble blog because there are some random draw prizes to be given away by Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3.

To join the challenge at Double Trouble all that’s required is to make a coffee themed card or project. If you want to join in the optional challenge, we are partnering with Try Stampin’ On Tuesday. They have a sketch challenge you can see below.

I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the right, but you can use it upright if you choose!

The QUICK and SIMPLE details for my card: I used a set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. The background was embossed with a 3-D folder from Simon Says Stamp, and to give it a little more shine I lightly brushed it with some gold ink. The larger light colored panel was spritzed with water to get it wet so that some ink could be brushed on it to look like coffee, and also crumpled a bit. I added some black and gold splatters to finish it off.

Be sure to visit all the stops and enter as many cards or projects as you want, there are a lot of great sponsors and a lot of prizes to be given away! Good Luck!

  1. I love how you’ve put this card together. I have this stamp set too and you’ve inspired me to use it!

  2. Melanie, love your card! That 3D embossing folder is so dramatic! The coffee-stained paper is a great backdrop for the sentiment. Thank you for sharing your card and partnering with us at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!!! Great use of the sketch! -Donna
