Three on Thursday

I worked on some cards today, managed to finish three between all the interruptions and other inconveniences, such as work and errands!

This was inspired by the sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches (#454). The stamp and sentiment are both from Gerda Steiner Designs and the embossing folder is made by Darice. Since we got Sandy, our new little puppy, I am sure I will be able to use this card sometime in the future!

Additional challenges for this card:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – Furry Friends

Gerda Steiner January Monthly Challenge – anything goes using GSD stamps

Pammie’s Inky Pinkies #2204 – anything goes

Use Your Stuff #440 – embossing

Strangely enough, the challenge over at the Paper Players (#575) is also a sketch, and actually very similar to the one I already shared above. I used a distress oxide ink background I made, and added some hearts with a stencil and white ink, but I think when the hearts dried they lightened up so much that you can barely see them! The sentiment was heat embossed, as was the foilage on some vellum.

Additional Challenges:

International Art & Soul #125 – Get inky!

Seize the Birthday #230 – embossing

My third card was inspired by challenge #480 at Color My Heart Color Dare and the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #146, where I used pink, heart, and white. A friend let me borrow this die set (Concord and 9th) and I thought it was a good way to use the three colors in the challenge and also fit the other challenge!

Additional challenges:

Dream Valley #262 – Love

Sweet Stampin’ – Anniversaries – sentiment stamped/heat embossed
