Make the Cards Challenge #51

Hello crafty friends! I have a card to share that I made for the new challenge starting at Make the Cards Challenge (#51). This time we are having a sketch challenge, which you can see below.

I wanted to keep my card CAS to play along in a few other challenges, so I went with a white background but used two different embossed patterns to mimic the bottom portion of the sketch. The stamps I used are from an Altenew set, heat embossed with white on vellum. I colored the back of the images with Copic markers and then cut them out.

Joining in the challenges at the Paper Players (#583) which is CAS with a theme of “blooms,” the challenge at CAS on Friday (#227) where the theme is “flowers,” and finally at Allsorts (#668) which has a theme of “feminine.”

  1. Beautiful card Melanie. I love how you embossed the flower on vellum and colored the back, it turned out beautifully. Love the embossed section on the bottom. Great take on the sketch.

  2. I love the delicate vellum bloom on this card and it’s gorgeous design. Thank you for sharing it with us at Allsorts challenge this week.

  4. This is beautiful, Melanie! I love the large bloom in the colors you chose and it’s especially feminine stamped on vellum. The sentiment is sweet too. Thanks so very much for playing with us this week at The Paper Players.

  5. Beautiful, Melanie! I love how you used multiple embossing folders to create such rich texture, while keeping it “clean”. Stamping on vellum and coloring on the back resulted in such a cheery blossom with a lovely softness.
