Have a Ball CAS Birthday Card

Getting back into baseball season, and even though my team has not gotten off to a very good start I still enjoy watching the games (or listening as I craft!) Today’s card was inspired not only by the game I have on, but by several challenges.

First I am playing along at CAS Colours & Sketches (#465) which has a sketch this week. I also am joining in at Addicted to CAS (#218) where they are looking for a one layer card.

To keep my card one layer and to follow the sketch I added some dry embossing to create the square around the image. Usually when I dry emboss with a die cut I put it on top, however this time I used it on the back. That raised the border on the front instead of making an impression as it would have if on the front.

I would like to join in the challenges at Allsorts (#671/2) where the theme is masculine, at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies (#2215) which is “anything goes,” and finally at the Male Room Challenge (#161) where the theme is to use dry embossing.
