Double Trouble #127

We have a special month long challenge starting today at Double Trouble, and I have two cards to share to get you inspired! If you would like to join it’s a very simple challenge by Thing 1 – choose any theme and colors you want.

The additional challenges by Thing 2 and Thing 3 are color challenges, which are hosted by our partner challenge, Colorful Options. Playing along with one or both of those will give you extra chances in the random drawing. Thing 3 is looking for an predominantly “white” color scheme, and Thing 2 is looking for a rainbow color scheme (traditional, pastel, etc. )

My first card which I made for the rainbow challenge was created with a snowflake stencil and some ink blending. The penguin image is from Repeat Impressions (2014). I added some rainbow colors to the hats to match the background, and some glitter to the hats as well. I cut out the image and gave it an oval backing so it would stand out more against the background. The sentiment is from the same set by Pink Fresh Studios as on my other card.

The card I made for the all white color challenge is below, I used an old mitten punch from Stampin’ Up, and used different embossing folders to give them some texture. The sentiment is from a Christmas set by Pink Fresh Studios.

I would like to enter my “white” card in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – Freezing Cold Mood Board

ABC Christmas Challenge – W for White

My Time to Craft Christmas #48 – Christmas clothing

Entering my “rainbow” card in the following challenges:

Colorful Options – rainbow

The Holly and the Ivy Christmas Challenge – anything goes

Send A Smile 4 Kids – Holiday cards for kids

  1. Love the pyramid of penquins with their rainbow hats and the matching blended background in same colors and sentiment is perfect… such a fun card. And your white card love the textured gloves, the embossed background and dimension and pulling in the black sentiment was perfect… such a pretty card.

  2. I love the ink blending on that first card and the second card is absolutely gorgeous!! That bold black sentiment is so pretty with all the white texture all around!

  3. These are both so wonderful in their own way. Love those cute stacked penguins & all the glorious color. And your white card is really pretty & quite stunning. Love all the fun embossing.
