Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge – Stars

This month I am very happy to be joining the Caffeinated Christmas Challenge as a guest designer. This is a fun challenge that requires you feature coffee, tea, or hot cocoa along with the additional monthly theme. Now through July 25 the theme is “Stars.” There is also a sponsor each month, which often awards a prize for one randomly drawn entry, however you are not required to use the sponsor’s products unless you choose to. This month the sponsor is A Colorful Life Designs, so be sure to check them out!

I incorporated stars into my card by using a pearly embossing paste over a stencil to create the background. I used an image from My Favorite Things, but unfortunately the polar bear was holding a present instead of a cup of coffee! To make him follow the coffee theme I masked off the present and found a small cup of coffee image from a different set to color and cut out in it’s place, and to finish it off I added a tiny star on it!
