Woo Hoo! A fun new challenge begins today at the Paper Funday Challenge! This is always an “anything goes” challenge, however there is also an optional twist you can play along with if you like. This month the optional challenge is “the great outdoors.”
We also have some sponsors this month, who have generously donated some images for the design team to work with. We have Star Stampz, and Pattie’s Creations. The image I used is from Pattie’s Creations and is called “Birds of a Feather.”
I decided to try something different from coloring the images this time, and went with paper piecing. I had to print the image several times on the different patterned papers, and do a lot of fussy cutting, but the end result seemed perfect for these fun birds!
I added some additional coordinating paper for layering and an arch shaped card base to give it a little different feel.
