Critter Crazy Challenge #79

If you look at my blog posts I tend to make a lot of animal themed cards, so I was very excited to join the Critter Crazy Challenge as a guest designer this month. There isn’t any specific theme needed to play along, just that your card must clearly feature a critter.

I love this Halloween stamp that’s made by Rubbernecker Stamps, and since this challenge is for Halloween month, I decided to use it for my card. The bag was paper pieced, the rest of the image colored with Copic markers.

I created the background with some distress oxide inks that were sprayed with water, then used to “smoosh” the paper on. I also sprayed it with a little black shimmer spray.

I used some torn paper for the bottom of the card, added a pumpkin die cut, used some white ink to add a moon, and stamped some bats to finish it off.

  1. Your background is ever so slightly too scary for me Melanie so thank goodness for the wholesomeness of this little Halloween pusscat! Vicky x

  2. Awww . . . your little kitty is cute! And that background is fabulous; great job! I’m so glad you were able to be our guest designer at Critter Crazy Challenge this month.
