Alphabet Challenge – N for Nature

Hello! My card today is for the new challenge starting at the Alphabet Challenge. Every two weeks we continue on through the alphabet with a theme that starts with the current letter. This week we are on “N,” and the theme is “nature.”

I started out by blending a background with some blue ink and a little brown for the bottom. I added some die cut trees, which I cut out of some water color paper I made with a few different green inks. I love how that gives such a perfect look of shading without any thinking involved! I attached them to the background and finished it off with some white paint splatters.

I stamped the animals with brown distress oxide ink, and with a little water on a paint brush I was able to pull out some color. The stamps are from a set by Close to My Heart called “Forest Critters.” I cut them out and attached them to the background.

I didn’t add a sentiment because I wasn’t sure what it would be used for, but also thought it might just look better without one!

  1. This is an amazing scene. It is really well done and the removal of the ink has worked really well too.

Thanks for playing along with us at MAWTT,
